energy parks

Energy Parks are our response to the increasing demand from digital service providers, high tech industry and allied high energy users for bespoke commercial space, underpinned by abundant energy provision through large grid connections, on site generation and microgrids. The move towards AI creates an opportunity to deliver new processing capacity in diverse locations across the UK as well as allowing allied, high tech businesses to benefit from new tech clusters. Energy Parks also create the opportunity to develop sustainable heat networks. Latency also presents increasing problems as our use of the internet changes and adapts to the demands placed on the network by the rollout of 5G. As we move towards wider use of virtual reality (VR) applications, adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) and increasing demand for mobile data from distributed working practices, our existing digital and energy infrastructure needs to adapt to allow for greater processing capacity physically closer to the user. Infraland are developing a network of more sustainable Energy Parks to facilitate this change.
